Giving

At Batavia Covenant Church, we believe that God has invited us to participate with him as he brings his kingdom to earth. One way that we do that is by giving financially to the ministries of our church. The Old Testament encourages the tithe (giving 10% of the first fruits of your income) as way of showing our gratitude to God for all that he has done for us. The money that you give as a tithe or offering to BCC funds the mission and ministry of our church. While the majority of that money supports the ministries of our local congregation, we as a church also tithe 10% of our income to ministries outside of our church by giving to our community, regional, and denominational partners.
